Red tiger eye is actually
dyed to get its color. It is found as a brown color with asbestos
fibers trapped inside to give it the wavy effect. It typically
displays stripes because of its included fibers that are crooked
or bent. It is found in South Africa, India, Burma and California.
It has a hardness of 6 1/2 - 7 and is set in sterling silver.
