Lapis

Lapis is a denim blue colored stone mostly mined in Afghanistan and Russia. The coloring agent is sulphur and contains pyrite ( the gold flecks) and calcite (white veining).

Lapis is a porous stone and can absorb perfume, oils and other liquids.

Care should be taken when wearing this stone and is sensitive to strong pressure and high temperatures and has a hardness of 5 - 6.
